In 2021, I took over the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy APHP with my colleague Georgina McKinnonIt's been about two years now since Georgina and I took the APHP and NRPC over (which stands for the National Register for Psychotherapy and Counselling) from the lovely Terence Watts who had run the APHP for some 22 years at that point.
We were so honoured to be asked to take the helm at one of the most prestigious and longest running Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy Associations to have run in the UK and internationally. We were instrumental in bringing in the Core Curriculum that was widely established as CNHC's high standard for hypnotherapy training, and it eventually became the National Occupational Standards for hypnotherapy in the UK. Since we took it over we have made lots of improvements, most notably improving the website so that we are now much more of a directory as well as a member website. Our aim will continue to be that we bring high standards to the Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy industry. If you are looking for a great Professional Association to belong to, and you have done a thorough diploma training in either hypnotherapy or psychotherapy, then you may be able to join us! We offer free CPD and a library full of interesting worksheets and handouts. We also offer a full public directory listing. www.aphp.co.uk |
